Why risk missing the next tier over a lousy half of a segment? If it was December 31 and I had 59.5 segments, you can rest assured I'd be on the next flight to MKE.
I have to agree with
blort here. I would certainly add one segment if I were within a
single segment. I have done this in the past when it looked as if I was going to be close to the higher status level or promotion level.
