And as MarkOK notes, the whole "Timeless" and "Boundless" spiel is just ridiculous. Why not just call them what they are? Traditional Brands, Lifestyle Brands, Independent Brands. Something like that. This has all been thought up by some poorly educated person in Hyatt's corporate marketing, and nobody has had the guts to tell them that it's stupid.
OMG, Shakespeare would be turning in his grave to hear this diatribe against the prosaic use of English and the creation of new and different words and meanings (since he created more than 1700 new words that were added to the language.) Maybe the marketing genius you rail against was "intelligence-challenged," but it's just a bit of fun. Want traditionalist language: stick with Hilton.
