Etiquette on charging cell phones in cafes, restaurants and bars
Here in New York City people are used to plugging in their phones to recharge in certain businesses like Starbucks and other coffee sellers as well as small restaurants. Ordinarily, most owners will give permission especially if you are sitting and having a meal.
What is the current practice in France, especially Paris? I'm thinking of establishments on the level of Eric Kayser, Pret a Manger and Brioche Dorée, not Joel Robuchon.
