I was told that the casino status match ended on June 30 - i.e. a few days after their open. Now the casino's attitude is "customers need us more than we need them."

Personally I like the minimal style, though I want to see a desk with a real desk chair. I hate rooms with a bunch of useless additional furniture and junk in the way - just makes the room feel crowded without adding anything.

I don't really care about electronic drapes or ipads where you have to go through 27 steps to accomplish the same thing as a manual switch by the bed. In fact, most of that stuff is more annoying and less functional than the old fashioned way since it inevitably breaks after a short while.

Did you have an accessible bathroom? My bathroom had a glass door that worked fine, as well as a rainfall shower head, in addition to the removable wand, so anyone under 9-10 feet tall should have been fine. I agree that the track for the wand could go higher, but it was fine.

The Conrad bed was probably the best I've had in the past year - and I've been at many hotels of all different levels.

I love reading reviews of how much more luxurious the Crockfords rooms are than the Conrad. The only thing that looks different in the pictures is the coffeemaker.
Agree 100% this sounds like an ADA room.

The hard product is very similar between Crockford's and Conrad, but there's a few differences in tech and design.

Aria, Cosmo, Waldorf, Vdara etc and others took the middle ground right in the middle with bed firmness which I admire.
Crockfords difference in the videos I have viewed which may be misleading seems to show a plusher bed with more pillow top
padding but for all I know could be the same in feel.
It seems where Crockfords may exceed the others @ Resorts World is the higher degree of personal service (their claim not mine)
and room service to use the f&B credit with
And because of limited rooms far less crowds to contend with

Crockfords aesthetic also seems like it was somewhat more thought out by designers but also subjective to personal taste.
The bathrooms seem more attractive than Conrad as well
At the end of the day my assessment for my own personal choice would likely be save the money and points and go for the Hilton
or go all the way to Crockfords

In other words go Chevy or Cadillac but skip the Buick Older folks may relate to that analogy
And for those who feel somewhere in the middle undecided there is always the Conrad!
Incidentally in social media the hotels still continue to fare quite poorly with some of the lowest ratings I've seen in years for new hotels.
Hopefully time will sort all that out when they get their operations fine tuned
My understanding is they used multiple designers for the various room types, so the décor in one room can differ from the next.
