Randy, that is the exact purpose of TalkBoard -- for which I am running. TalkBoard has no authority at all. It serves only to make recommendations to you. You may not agree with everything that I would recommend (I doubt that anybody would agree with anyone else 100%) but by the simple fact of having brought something to your attention, and giving you my input on that subject, I feel I will be helping you to change FlyerTalk -- even if your eventual decision is to go a completely opposite direction to that which I advocated.

You go on about Spiff's position and the TalkBoard. As a member, I clciked there looking to read positions, not debate, afterall, your thread topic is a "Question" to the candiates. Not only that, but you have now posted in that thread three times, debating others opinions. You did not label that thread a debate. While I hear you above, I am reminded in this example of something else.
In posting replies to my answers, other candidates (and non-candidates) raised points which I felt should be addressed. Spiff, for example, said that "The request thread was opened 7 months ago and there have been no supporting posts to demonstrate a need."

In return, I cited 4 threads in the last week alone dealing only with the very narrow subject of kosher food.

I think it is important for all candidates -- myself included -- to demonstrate how they will perform on TalkBoard. In my case, when presented with a statement such as Spiff made, I will attempt to see if it is correct and report what I find.

Whether FlyerTalkers like the modus operandi of a particular candidate is something that each will have to decide for himself and should be an important factor in helping him decide how to vote.
