Yeah that would be my guess. I'm assuming they're already pretty booked up, so rates will be competitive to try and get upgrades. I definitely want to upgrade to a Pool OWV myself, at the very least. I'd prefer the Otemanu Pool, but $1,400/night for a 6 night stay is pretty hard to swallow.
I've done the math. The best value with points and upgrade price is the sunset pool owv. Honestly ladt month cash prices were lower. I think postponed honeymoons/marriages are now happening for next year. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to cough this up because of that. I'm fine with sunrise view.
