One other thing to note: I have a Platinum AA Citi card, and got the offer for the black (Executive World Elite) card. They have the comparison of the two cards in the promo material, I might have considered upgrading, but they take away the category bonuses on the black card (groceries, gas, restaurants), strangely. I get double miles on those categories with Platinum, and on the Executive World Elite I don't get the bonus, so just sticking with the Platinum as that's more useful to me than whatever discounts they give me on club membership...


It's been maybe 2 years since I had the Aviator card, I'll look into grabbing the bonus offer to top off my miles... I'm not a heavy churner, but 60000 bonus miles they're offering is not that bad.
