Stayed here for 15 nights during the 2nd half of July. This is our third stay at the STR, however, in the past they were for 6 nights in both years (2017 and 2019).

We stayed in 535 which is an Overwater Suite and the best of the lot, and that surprise was great on our arrival. This is our first time with our daughter (who gave us so much stress during the stay by staying next to the water, but she got used to staying on the higher deck only).

The Staff as a whole are just amazing, from Vincent the GM to every single employee at the resort, we noticed how they greet you every time someone passes by (this was only noticed when we went to other resorts).

The restaurants staff are just a blessing, we loved them really and they made us feel like family. They gave us a very nice goodbye on our last day during breakfast (my wife said after 11 years of marriage that this is the first time she ever saw me tear up). Will never forget their smiles.

We met Vincent and complimented him on the staff at the resort and I think it what's makes the STR so great. Also, we met the new F&B Director Sunny who has major plans on having new restaurants and a beach bar in the future. The place will be very lively with a Teppanyaki station and a beach bar and other restaurants.

The Executive Chef's and Chef's are just fantastic. We had several off the menu orders, Cargo (Which is now an Indian Restaurant), we never ordered from the menu for our 3 visits and the staff kept on surprising us over and over. We loved it. Pedro, the Spanish Executive Chef also made us a Paella for dinner which is also off the menu and loved it (He gave my wife the secret recipe which we promised never to share).

The STR blew us away and we had a wonderful and memorable stay that we will never forget. We had 11 nights of perfect weather, and a bit of rain here and there for 4 nights (then again the Maldives is always a hit and miss whenever you go).

Now as for what happened at the JW (will post it in the JW thread). Hint, we cancelled our stay on the day of arrival.
