Personally I believe the AA hard product is much better than the BA777 business seat.
The soft product on BA is somewhat to much better than on AA.
Transfer at LHR sucks. Also transfer in a third country has some risk of changing rules etc.
As much as I dislike AA in general I would pick the AA option in your situation.
