I'm booking DFW to DXB for November (of 2021) on EK222. When searching on the Emirates site, some days show this flight operating with the 777-200LR & others show the 777-300ER. I agree that 200LR would be better in J than the 300ER, but I am afraid that 'crapshoot' is the right word in this case. And in many other cases where people on this forum are wondering what equipment will be used 1, 2, 3 or even 6 months from now. Air travel is now an ever evolving 'experience'. Personally, I have for now resigned myself to let it come over me as it happens and not try to plan too much (which was a big step for an 'arch-planner'
). CPT and LGW were my most used airports (apart from DXB of course). LGW has not seen an EK flight in about 16 months, CPT in about 6 or so.
