OLCI with AA for subsequent BA flight to UK: Verifly / PLF Questions
Hello,
Hoping that someone might be able to clarify when and by whom my PLF will be checked in terms of a forthcoming flight to the UK.
I have booked LAS - LAX - LHR - NCL with AA so I am on a 001 ticket. LAS - LAX is operated by AA with the LAX - LHR - NCL flights being operated by BA.
Obviously I know that I will check in with AA as they are the operating carrier for the first flight. Previously (by which I mean pre-COVID as I haven't flown internationally in 18 months) there would be a document check by AA and they'd scan my passport before the LAS - LAX flight. However, I'd be able to check in online and get all my boarding passes ahead of time. I'd also do a document check at the gate ahead of the BA flight.
What's going to be the state of play this time round? Will I be able to check in online with AA or will AA require sight of my completed PLF and negative COVID test before they issue any boarding passes? Will they just issue the LAS - LAX boarding pass and then I will need to see BA at TBIT / LAX to get the remainder issued? I really don't want to have to go landside at LAX to check-in there and then re-clear security. Is it even worth considering using VeriFLY for the LAX - LHR flight?
Anyone got any recent practical experience of this scenario?
Thanks!
