When I drove over for dinner the gate guard just waved me through without bothering to check if I actually had a reservation. I doubt anyone at the MK would notice or care.
I wonder if this is also related to capacity. I know the MK has been busier than expected since May with both club owners and guests. They're also trying to drive revenue with the [idiotic] Gray Malin Beach Club. Historically you have been able to use the facilities at either hotel. I stayed at the MK twice this year and they were operating their shuttle to the Hapuna. I drove over to the Hapuna a few times and was waved through because the hotels use the same type of parking pass that hangs from the rear view mirror. The MK beach was definitely busier than usual and they ask for the room number to dispense beach towels. But I never heard anything about the reciprocal benefits of the two hotels being limited.
