Also, this is not any different for some airlines where a group of employees waving at the plane when the flight departs from the gate.
... and to that point, I've seen various expressions of gratitude from airline or other employees that were not official company efforts. Some of the workers sincerely are grateful to have a job after the past 18-19 months of madness ...
