Just had a 1 night stay earlier this week. It was a good use of 40K points, since the rate was at least $399/night in the busy summer season midweek.

Parking: Valet parking was available, but we chose to use the outdoor municipal lot across the street ($15/day).

Check-in: The front desk was friendly and efficient. The welcome amenities were points or $10 food and beverage credit. I believe it should've been $10/pp per night, up to 2 people, but I took the points anyways. They also mentioned that the hotel has a car available to take guests within a 2 mile radius.

Room: Was upgraded to the King room with a sofa. Standard AC room setup, with plenty of power plugs (regular and USB) at the nightstand and at the desk. 2 baby bottles of water by Poland Springs (to keep it local ), and the hydration station (aka water refill) is located at the end of the hallway. The hotel still has small bottles of Korres bath amenities, along with shoe polisher, vanity kit, and shower cap. There is also an in-room coffee maker, as well as a large TV.

Amenities: The AC store next to the check-in desk had an assortment of snacks, drinks, and locally produced candies and souvenirs.

There is a gym on the first floor across from the elevators. It looked well-equipped.

The lounge (aka bar) is open. While it was advertised to be open until 11pm, the bartender tried to close at 10pm, but people kept streaming in. Interesting cocktail list, and good selections of wines by the glass, with options to get 6 or 9 oz. There is also a special to get a bottle of Overture by Opus One for $185.

Breakfast was grab-and-go from the former buffet area. The options were ham and cheese sandwich on English muffin, oatmeal, muffin and croissant, and maybe cereal. Coffee is complimentary. There is seating available if you choose to eat in the lobby. There is also a coffee shop next door to the hotel in the same plaza as an alternative.

Verdict: This is a great Marriott choice for the area if you want to stay close to the harbor area and did not want to stay at the Residence Inn. As expected for an AC hotel, the amenities were European-upscale, with friendly service.
