I was at Como lake 2 weeks ago, the Lecco side. We go there each July, normally stay in Lecco and then go for a dinner to Mandello del Lario. Each year in July we were having huge problems to park a car in Mandello and traffic jams to arrive there. This year, considering it is 100 anniversary of Moto Guzzi, we were expecting to see a bunch of people. But.. No traffic and plenty of parking lots. We usually see il people on the beaches, but it was a great sunny day and practically nobody on the beach.
So Italy is very enjoyable this year, but not as empty as it was in 2020 summer.

Any sense as to how the Green Pass enforcement is going to occur? Like, will there be a bouncer with a QR scanner sitting at the door of a small Bellagio cafe? Or is nothing scanned and you just flash something? If so, what's the point of having a QR code attached to it? Anyways, we'll have our CDC cards which sounds like they'll suffice as our paper green pass, but I'm expecting a few places may not know what they are... and who knows with the language barrier.
