Departure taxes question (Peru/Ecuador)

Not sure on this one, does anyone have a good idea how departure taxes work?

Flying CUZ-LIM-UIO (stopover) UIO-LIM-DFW in January.
I understand Peru domestic departure taxes are ~$6 and international tax is $28. Will I have to pay $6+$28 for CUZ-LIM-UIO or only $28? (I imagine the former). How about when we connect back through Lima on the way to Dallas (only in transit). Would we have to pay an additional $28 then as well?
Gets expensive if so.. Ecuador's departure taxes are $25.
