Props to Maruichi for opening early LIKE BAGEL SHOPS SHOULD. This is where New New York Bagel Club irritates me - 9am opening. Very NOT New York. But hey, it’s Tokyo, where most things open late.
I have to admit that it’s the early opening that gets us eating way more of their bagels than what might be considered reasonable for a repeating visitor. I love that it’s an option on our way to Shirokane-Takanawa station so we can then enjoy them as breakfast on a regional train.

Isn’t Japanese “corned beef” the same kind of thing that is called “corned beef” in the U.K.? I think it’s called “corned beef hash” in the States.
I’m used to calling it “Salt beef” (the good stuff that doesn’t crumble into a mush on your tongue). I don’t know how you’d differentiate the two foods in Japan.
