That's the issue, as a passenger "Transiting landside in UK and departing through England (England only)" departing within 24 hours I'm exempt from testing after landing, and wouldn't be in the UK in 2 days to be tested regardless.

I just entered "Transit" in the form and Verifly accepted it. Strange, but it appears to have worked. Hopefully this helps someone else in the future.
