I just booked a Condor award LAS-FRA-FNC in business for 55k which is great value!

Question: What is Alaska's protection policy on awards issued by partners? Specifically it looks like DE is only restarting LAS-FRA in September, and I'm not sure how real that is. If DE does cancel, would AS reprotect me onto BA/AA awards if those are available, or would they make me cough up the extra miles and YQ?
