I was proactively upgraded to a Sunset Suite without ever reaching out. The Sunset Suite was on the 19th of 28 floors and looked out onto the two "Margaret bridges," the highway, and a state jail! State jail and Bail Bond shops aside, the view was actually quite nice. The Sunset Suite (similar to most suites in this hotel, I think) is actually a room without a bed connected to a normal king room (or, I think a 2 Queen room - there was another connecting door). As a consequence, you get two full bathrooms (and two room numbers)! I had to manually go into both rooms and unlock the connecting door myself. The "suite" room consisted of a large bay of windows, a dining room table that seats 6, a pull-out couch, work desk, and Eames lounge chair (I think it's fake, but still, what an iconic design). The bathroom in the "suite" room was shaped slightly differently than the normal bathrooms and had a larger shower. The normal king room was a normal king room, but there was another Eames lounge chair (this might be in all king rooms?) and a window-side chaise lounge. The bed was surprisingly comfortable besides the stingy 3 pillows (luckily, extras were in the closets). Shower pressure and temperature was really nice, but the sinks were oddly shallow (not an issue, but they were odd).

Service at check-in was quite good - no line! The associate was friendly and efficient and proactively offered late check-out. Annoyingly, they give out a voucher for water bottles from the coffee shop, so you can't just go to the front desk to get more (but, luckily, you can refill them in the fitness center).

The property itself is quite impressive. I loved the atrium and the exterior look. I did notice that the pool is laughably small, so I wouldn't come here for a swimming destination. I self-parked in the North lot, and I did get stuck last night with the gate as my room key wouldn't open it (it could open the "in" gate just fine). Calling Valet through the box a couple of times fixed the issue, but fingers crossed I can get out this afternoon.

Breakfast at Centennial this morning was quite good. I was told at check-in that I get an entree and beverage (but that I could do more since I was only 1 person). I loved the hashbrowns that came with the bacon and eggs - old-fashioned hashbrowns are always a treat. It was also nice to sip my coffee underneath the atrium (I swear I kept hearing a trapped bird chirping).

Overall, this was a great stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
This was called a Junior Suite back in my day. They were already talking about renaming it right before I left. The reservations agents suggested "Lew Sterrett Suites," since they overlooked the Lew Sterrett Criminal Justice Center (jail). We were a sarcastic lot back there in reservations.
