I want to file a claim using the Plat Travel insurance for tickets we can not use because of a newly diagnosed heart ailment that prohibits my husband from flying. ( Not sure if that restriction is permanent or not). But because the airline has waived cancellation fees and put the $$ amount into a " wallet" for future use as long as I ticket the new reservation by March 2.... does that make any insurance claim for my nonrefundable ticket useless at this point until that date expires?
