I really see no difference between iPhone and Android other than my investment on the Play store. I do have a lot of purchased apps as I get free Google Opinion credit so I kept buying premium apps. So for that, if the price and function are similar, I will probably go with Android.
That's exactly how I feel. I'm pretty platform agnostic, especially since all my "stuff" exists mostly on dual-platform Google apps. Frankly but for the screen layouts, I really can't tell a difference between my old Pixel and my IPhone anymore, to the point where if I didn't have my reading glasses on, and you handed me one with the screen unlocked, I might not know which one I was using. That said because I'm a total nerd and switch back and forth often, I have an equal investment in both ecosystems, with Apple having a slight edge because literally everyone else in my family is on Apple.
