I don't want to hijack too far afield but I am getting the same thing for a flight change. Do we still have a choice whether to accept the change or not? Also, does AA even inform the passenger, I found out about the change via an award wallet email

I'm finding that it takes awhile before I actually get an email from AA that my flight has changed-usually closer to departure date. As far as excepting the change, much of that will depend upon the level of change. 15 minutes versus 2 hours or a forced overnight.
