I used to favor these seats, but have now switched to 6C. I generally fly the 767 only on the daylight flight to LHR so don't need to sleep. I am extremely tall so can nearly block the space and make it hard for people to cross.

It's normally the FAs that cross this space. I will stare down any passenger thinking about it. If the single seat in F (2C?) is open then the FAs cross up there, so it's largely a function of that.

Also, I dislike not being able to have things like my computer handy after takeoff. It takes an eternity for UA to turn off the seat belt sign.

Oh, one bonus with 5 C/D is that they are extremly unpopular and tend to get assigned last. Once the whole cabin was full apart from 5D and it appeared that I was going to get an empty seat next to me but they put a non-rev there in the last second.

Similarly, I was cursing my decision on a recent flight that I had changed 5C to 6C and again it looked like the person in 5C was going to get an empty seat. However, in the last second a passenger boarded.
