Don't forget what you forgo by paying in points vs cash: points earned on the cash fare (assuming you'll have a use for points in the future) + any rewards offered by your credit card.
You'd get 138 points on the WGA cash fare LAX-SFO + 67 points if using a Southwest credit card, making the points cost 2104, for a value of 1.59 cents per point.
Then you have to figure the value of the points fare being refundable vs. getting a TTF if you cancel a cash ticket. That difference is negligible if you fly Southwest often enough that you'll always be able to use any TTFs you end up with.
