I believe it has been brought up before but Villa Cora in Florence is a wonderful change of pace -- outside the city, but not too far. They have a car service that takes you to the centre and will pick you up quite quickly. Very quiet. Suites are reasonably priced, considering alternatives, and we were upgraded booking with FHR. Stayed in October. Could not recommend it more.
