I was looking to redeem for our family of four in Spain this summer. The Hilton Madrid Airport (we just need it for a transit stay) can give me two rooms for 34,000 each but they also have a two bedroom "family connecting" suite for 88,000 points (premium award) for two people. However, this jumps to 101,000 points for three and 123,000 points for four. Is this usual? it's the same room, so why would we pay more for more people? just curious if others have run into this? it also seems to make a difference if the third and fourth persons are kids vs. adults.
