Refund for Mint ticket -- change to non-Mint cabin?
Hi everyone -- longtime AA flyer, new to Jetblue. I booked an expensive last minute Mint ticket from JFK. Following a lengthy mechanical delay, we switched to a new non-Mint configured plane. The flight attendant said we would be "fully refunded," and several days later on chat an agent said I would be refunded the difference between the Mint and regular economy fare. I see now that I have a "courtesy" travel credit for $500, which is not a bad resolution. I'd prefer the refund though, and the fare difference was likely more than $500. What is the normal Jetblue practice in this situation and what is reasonable to expect? Should I press for a refund?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
