I‘m new to skywards and want to book a first class flights with miles I‘m transferring from Amex.

my route has plenty of first availability, except for that week where I‘d have to travel.

How does Emirates decide on their award availability? I know LH or UA make a lot of their unsold premium seats available a week or two before departure. Any chance Emirates is similar?
I’m quite flexible. I could still book 2 days before departure.
