Since we have been unable to travel for the past year, I have not paid much attention to the changes in the New Aeroplan program. So now, as I dip my toes back into travel, I am trying to figure out what I can do and what I can't do anymore. For background, I am a Million Miler with the standard benefits (lifetime E50, 3 free bags etc.)

When I go to book reward travel, I see that I have options in the 3 fare classes (Standard, Flex, Latitude). Since I have 3 free bags, free cancelation is there any reason why I would book a fare other than Standard? Unless, I do not get free seat selection with E50?
