When I book TK using UA miles I always phone to select seats. Make sure you've looked at seatguru.com for each aircraft type, I have them on my screen when I call so I can see what I'm selecting. Be sure you know your record locator (a 6-digit code) before calling. Be patient with the TK agents, many of them are limited English speakers.
