Did I Fly Ryanair or SAS?

I've done a lot of flying - I'm a Million Miler on Delta.

I flew SAS from BER to CPH a few days ago. They served coffee and tea - if you wanted water, they charged. I have never been charged for water or non-alcoholic beverages on a legacy carrier - only on LCCs.

On the next day's flight to San Francisco - they had a beverage service (I got a soda for free, I think alcohol costs extra), but you got only that one complimentary drink for the 11 hour flight. Anything beyond that one you had to pay. Again, a practice that I have never seen on a legacy carrier.

I'm not going to rant and say I will never fly SAS again - but this chintziness sure leaves a bad taste in one's mouth (so to speak.)
