Interestingly enough, last night I was on a DEN-LAX flight. The listed flight time was 2:16 and it departed 7:40p, arriving at 8:56p. According to AA.com this was a snack only flight in F, and it is just outside the meal window. However, just after takeoff the FA came around and asked our choice of meals (salmon or mushroom pizza). With all the cutbacks in meal service I was surprised be be offered one on this flight.

On a side note: My flying companion enjoyed the mushroom pizza but the salmon was only barely edible and they served it with green beans (not bad) and a brown lump of something that I think was supposed to be egg foo young (only becasue I can't think of what else it could possibly be). I woudl have rather had IFE than the food, but, oh well.
