I realise this is an outstation, but surely they have dedicated numbers to call?
The back story was that out stations used to get money from BA to provide a ticketing service, and it is possible a few out stations such as JFK have that option. But again to save money almost all, maybe all, ticketing at out stations has been stopped. So in some cases they were provided with a telephone number and even a mobile telephone to make calls, but over the years that has been phased out, and usually for Gold customers they can get someone in Newcastle faster than ground agents, for whom BA is one of 8 airlines with which they handle.
