Am I happy dropping almost a month's equivalent of the lease on my actual car for a week in a Chevy Spark? No. But it's certainly better than driving around in a gas guzzling minivan or truck in downtown Vancouver.
There's a pretty good chance you'll get a small car. Most people do, but with a Manager's Special reservation, it goes give the location the flexibility to get rid of whatever vehicle they have too many of. It all depends on the situation when you arrive. No harm in asking as well if they offer you something you don't want. Smiling and establishing a good rapport with the agent is always a good idea as well.
