I think it's a good move and it will help even if just by acting as a central point directing users to the right places to check.
I had reason to speak with Sherpa a couple of weeks ago as some of their information regarding entry to the US was incorrect (they already have an arrangement in place with AA). They were easy to contact and corrected the information without delay.
I think it will be useful going forward assuming that entry rules will remain in place for some time that will be different for many countries. It could be the 'Timatic' of the post-pandemic world and I'm surprised Timatic didn't extend their services to include this.
