I'll will travel with Mrs Duck1981 next week to IBZ out of T5 and for the first time the Mrs needs to take medical syringes with her.
She will put them into her hand luggage and has organized a letter from her NHS GP that she needs to take the syringes with her and why this has been prescribed to her; and we will take the original packaging. It is an electronic letter electronically signed without a stamp on a neutral letter as we print at home.
BA's advice on the website is rather general and indicates that the above should be enough, but I am wondering if we need to consider anything else with respect to security in T5 or with BA?
We are travelling HBO and we believe it might be too cold for the syringes in the hold so of course keen to make sure everything works well, hence as always asking for your advice/ experience. Thanks!

Medical syringes with the correct paperwork are permitted. Declare them when the bag comes off for a hand search so the officer doesn’t hurt themselves. There may be a few questions but all being well, you’ll be on your way with no issues.
