Also, one’s given name(s) is not necessarily that person’s first name(s), and neither is the last name necessarily the surname(s) or family name(s) (if said person even has one).
And some people prefer going by their first name, such as (Thomas) Woodrow Wilson.
But on your point… My passport reads, per my country’s standard:
Surname: Z
Given Name: A B
B is my middle name, and I exclude from my regular usage. I also exclude it from 75% of my travel tickets. Again, I’ve never had an issue (so far, *knock on wood*), and I’ve flown easily a minimum of 4 times a year the past few decades (until these last 15 months).
And just for clarity: when I apply for a visa or complete an immigration card / online form, my full name (A B Z) goes in wherever it has to.
