SpotAngels.com shows some free street parking over night. looks like up to 7 hours and close by. Of course, it is downtown San Jose, so be careful, lock it, read the signs, and make sure there is some traffic to avoid stripped/stolen vehicle issues. I used to use a lot a little west near the SAP Center for Sharks and Arena Football games, but that's a little farther walk.
