Arshi & Dave - thanks for clarifying. I was under the impression that Barclays *did* report Earner Biz to consumer credit bureaus. If it doesn't (and it doesn't factor into 5/24), that changes things. It's worth a shot. None of my other banks or card issuers use transunion, so the extra inquiry is no big deal.
