We will likely be in (near) a small beach town north of Lübeck for a few days. We will have two teens in tow. I know nothing about that area except that there is an amusement park (Hansa Park) there. One of the reasons we are going. Heck,. I am not even sure what you would call that area.


Is there something else to do there? We will likely have a free day or two to explore. We live on a beach, so while we will likely dip our toes in the Baltic, sitting on a beach all day probably isn't high on the list unless it is a really cool beach or there are things to do on the water. We will have just come from Copenhagen, so even boat tours may not be high on the list.
If you ask mrs pbiflyer, nature or history would be high on her list, one teen is a WWII buff, the other more into visual design.
Any ideas, advice, resources would be appreciated.
