Making ill-founded complaints does not enhance one's credibility.

As a matter of law, discrimination based on age refers to those over a certain age, not under one. This is definitely the case federally, and also for most, if not all, states. Hence, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the right of state and federal governments to raise the drinking age to 21, and car rental limits on those under 25 pass muster almost everywhere in America.

Perhaps the underlying philosophy is that whatever discrimination is imposed on the young, they will eventually grow out of. Their problem will be solved by patience. On the other hand, those who "age out," well, there is nothing they can do about it, and society looks on such immutable characteristics more sympathetically.

I would more focus on changing the law through legislation, than ill-advized empty threats of litigation.
