Forgive me if this has been answered before… I couldn’t quite bring myself to read the 97 pages of this thread after work :-)
… If I were to book two back to back ANA flights… Say SIN-HND (in J)… which arrived at 06:30AM, then booked HND-JFK (in F), which departed at 10:20AM on the same day as the SIN flight arrived, if these are two separate bookings:
1) is it possible to stay airside, without having to actually enter Japan between the 2 flights, so tickets could be linked and luggage can be automatically forwarded for the HND-JFK flight?
2) If the first flight was delayed, causing you to miss the second flight, is it likely ANA would automatically book you onto the next flight in the same cabin class, despite these being award tickets?
Just something I’m playing around with, but helps to ask for any knowledge or experience of this.
I appreciate that if you were a cash-paying customer then they’re likely to move the Earth to make it happen for you, if the first flight was delayed.
