Overall good. Executive lounge open for breakfast and evening service. Good selection of hot and cold foods served by gloves, shielded staff. Dishes rotated throughout the week.
Elite breakfast in the restaurant or lounge. if you go later than 8:30AM and can tolerate a slightly smaller choice, go to the lounge and avoid the madness. I was traveling alone. When I stood up and dashed - 20 seconds total - to grab a replacement fork for one I dropped - I lost my table, despite having uneaten food, a book, a notebook and my jacket still at the table.
The fitness center was open 6:00AM to 10:00PM. Nice.
My only gripe was that guests didn't follow any COVID restrictions. No enforcement by hotel staff. I recognize that this is very tough to do, so no demerits there. For my work, I need to be attentive.
I normally stay in a hotel closer to the center/metro (the hotel I "bailed" on.) I grew to like the location here. Bomonti is a nice neighbornood, and the walk to Şisli was "just right". Yes, it's a huge hotel. Maybe a new go-to for me.
I stayed here for 5 days around New Year in 2019. Enjoyed the stay (apart from the appalling weather) but the worst thing about the Bomonti was the chaos in the main breakfast area. After two days of this mayhem I decided to have breakfast in the lounge from then on. Like you say, less choice but much more peaceful
