I have purchased a Round trip ticket from MIA to LEI. Departing 23-JUL-2021 returning 14-AUG-2021. This was Purchased though British Airways but it is an Iberia Flight. I can look up my flight on both websites. The baggage weight is different on both websites. Which website will be honored? British Airways says 70 Pounds and Iberia says 50 Pounds. First, why should this be different, given both carriers are part of the same company. I am in Business class. Both websites show two free suitcases, but Iberia shows 20 lbs less for each. I have not finished packing so I don't know the weight of my suitcases. I have become accustomed to the limits of both AA and BA which are the same, 70 Pounds max for International Business.

I can only assume BA wants to provide misinformation so they can overcharge for overweight baggage. One rule in writing and a completely different rule when you get to the airport. Just like in Manchester England (MAN) Lip balm is a solid while the same substance is considered a liquid in London England.(LHR) (Although, I'm sure this issue with Solids and liquids can be traced to Dr. Who and the Daleks!)
