We stay in Bayswater quite often. If you go a bit west towards Notting Hill and Kensington, there are very nice VRBO/AirBnB flats available. Easy access to Hyde Park, any number of Tube stations and numerous bus routes. Also found some very good local restaurants in the neighborhood.
