Do you put 'TK' before the membership number in the field?

Alright - pretty newbie question actually (dangers of not flying too much, I guess! ) --

For Marriott to Turkish M&S transfer, after selecting the program from the drop-down list, do you prefix 'TK' before the membership number in the field? I tried without the 'TK' prefix and it displays 'membership number incorrect' - however when I add TK before the number, it accepts. Thanks y'all!
