Haven't stayed at many Marriott as I hated their perks even as an elite (Rip Starwood).
I was tempted to book the Centric Loop for my October trip, but I'll be downtown for the weekend, after visiting my aunt and cousin out in the burbs Friday, but I'm not thrilled by that part of the Loop as it is a dead zone and the weekends are even deader than disco from what I recall. It is only 2 blocks to the Monroe Red Line station and 4 to the park, but still expensive even on the weekend. For the difference in price between the two Centrics, I can buy some nice ear plugs to cancel out the ambulance noise at the Centric MM and stay nearer to N Mich Ave F&B locations I'm familiar with.
