Here is this week's update from the ECDC on 14 day cumulative confirmed cases per 100,000 population.
As you can see, the Delta lift-off is now unavoidable. Cyprus and the Netherlands have some of the steepest rises, and on the weekly stats the Netherlands overook the UK today. Many European countries have managed to keep confirmed cases low so far, but I would be pessimistic of this continuing for long. The death rates, however, remain much lower than January or even early May. There is a lag on that, but even projecting that from recent data isn't showing the dreadful figures seen earlier in the pandemic. But still this remains a pandemic capable of much damage in its wake.
