I am sure the experiences people have shared here are supremely frustrating. My father's account is stuck on 9 years too.
However, for some reason, my mother's account just hit 10 years. Not sure why. She probably is not even going to maintain platinum status this year. I am thinking about opening a Marriott credit card for her last this year as two years worth of 15 EQNs + some natural stays this year should be enough to get her to LT platinum.
Just a question: if you hit lifetime platinum in the middle of the year but have a status below that currently, do you automatically get bumped up for that year?
